Anthony calls the shooting a crime, writing that it should be investigated "as all other officer-involved crimes". She also demands the release of any available body-camera video.
When Anthony first launches her Substack, she claims she has "been in the legal field since 2011." That's an accurate statement if being on trial for her daughter's murder counts as legal experience.
Anthony was acquitted of murder but convicted of lying to police.
Substack is a subscription-based platform for writers and podcasters. Subscriptions to her channel cost $10 per month or $100 annually, with a free tier offering limited content.
The world learned about Casey Anthony when her mother called 911 to report that her granddaughter had been missing for nearly a month and that Casey had just admitted it.
Anthony spun a web of lies, claiming a nanny had taken 2-year-old Caylee and had not returned her. Police and the media got involved, but none of her claims proved true.
On October 14, 2008, a grand jury indicted Anthony on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to police.
A jury acquitted Anthony of murder, but convicted her on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement.

In her first TikTok, Anthony claims she has "been in the legal field since 2011," an accurate statement if being on trial for her daughter's murder counts as legal experience. Anthony was acquitted of murder but convicted of lying to police. She describes the platform "thrust upon" her as a blessing, not a curse, and says she supports the LGBTQ community.
As she pursues her new role as a self-proclaimed "legal advocate," Anthony reintroduces herself by mentioning her daughter, Caylee, and her parents, George and Cindy. She says the TikTok is not about her parents or their actions but adds that she may discuss them in the future.
Along with her TikTok video, Anthony announces her deal with Substack, a subscription-based platform for writers and podcasters. Subscriptions to her channel cost $10 per month or $100 annually, with a free tier offering limited content.
The world learned about Casey Anthony when her mother called 911 to report that her granddaughter had been missing for nearly a month and that Casey had just admitted it. On October 14, a grand jury indicted Anthony on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to police. She was arrested, pleaded not guilty, and was held without bail. Prosecutors announced plans to seek the death penalty. Anthony was acquitted of murder, but the jury convicted her on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement.

The Velvet Hammer is the gripping, true crime memoir of former Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr., who sentenced some of Florida’s most evil and notorious murderers to death, fulfilling his oath to uphold justice. Perry provides a clear, accurate description of America’s criminal justice system and explains why the death penalty can, and should, work and how it was applied to certain capital murder cases he either prosecuted or presided over.
Perry discusses his journey as an African American growing up in the segregated South, his life as a prosecutor and chief judge, and how he ended up presiding over one of the world’s most intriguing capital murder trials of the century: State of Florida v. Casey Marie Anthony.
From the widow who slowly poisoned her lovers; to the lust murderer who mutilated his victim while she was still alive; to the serial killer who slayed a family of four, including his own child; as well as several other violent and frightening murders, Perry spares none of the gory details when bringing each case back to life in his debut, true crime memoir. Since being acquitted by a jury, Anthony has made headlines several times, most recently for dating a married man and allegedly breaking up a 22-year marriage. She met her latest partner, Tyson Ray Rhodes, an engineer for an aerospace company, at a South Florida gym where they both worked out.
Rhodes and his wife of 22 years moved from South Florida to Tennessee earlier this year, and Anthony reportedly followed. The pair have been seen together at an upscale Tennessee apartment complex, getting into Rhodes' truck, both dressed in workout clothes.
One of Anthony's friends told the New York Post that Anthony doesn’t care if he’s married, saying, “All she knows is that he makes her feel good, and she likes that.” Rhodes is reportedly planning to file for divorce.

On Christmas night, December 25, 1843, in a serene village on Staten Island, shocked neighbors discovered the burnt remains of twenty-four-year-old mother Emelin Houseman and her infant daughter, Ann Eliza. In a perverse nativity, someone bludgeoned to death a mother and child in their home—and then covered up the crime with hellfire.
When an ambitious district attorney charges Polly Bodine (Emelin’s sister-in-law) with a double homicide, the new “penny press” explodes. Polly is a perfect media villain: she’s a separated wife who drinks gin, commits adultery, and has had multiple abortions. Between June 1844 and April 1846, the nation was enthralled by her three trials—in Staten Island, Manhattan, and Newburgh—for the “Christmas murders.”
After Polly’s legal dream team entered the fray, the press and the public debated not only her guilt, but her character and fate as a fallen woman in society. Public opinion split into different camps over her case. Edgar Allen Poe and Walt Whitman covered her case as young newsmen. P. T. Barnum made a circus out of it. James Fenimore Cooper’s last novel was inspired by her trials.
The Witch of New York is the first narrative history about the dueling trial lawyers, ruthless newsmen, and shameless hucksters who turned the Polly Bodine case into America’s formative tabloid trial. An origin story of how America became addicted to sensationalized reporting of criminal trials, The Witch of New York vividly reconstructs an epic mystery from Old New York—and uses the Bodine case to challenge our system of tabloid justice of today. One month later, her grandmother Cindy Anthony franticly calls 911 to report her granddaughter is missing. Casey Anthony claims that a babysitter kidnapped her daughter. By October, when nothing Casey tells police turns out to be true, she is arrested and charged with Caylee's death, even though Caylee is still missing.
On December 11, Caylee's remains are found in a garbage bag, dumped in a wooded area near the Anthony home. Eight days later, Caylee's death is ruled a homicide. Prosecutors announce they will seek the death penalty against her.
At Casey Anthony's trial, her lawyer first made claims that George Anthony was molesting his daughter and that he staged Caylee's death to look like a drowning to cover up that he may have been abusing his granddaughter as well.
Those claims, made again after Casey Anthony is acquitted of the death, have haunted the Anthonys for years.
Now, George and Cindy Anthony agree to take a lie detector test in front of cameras for the A&E network special "Casey Anthony's Parents: The Lie Detector Test."
What happened when he is asked if he had anything to do with Caylee's death?

Her mother, Casey Anthony, was acquitted of first-degree murder but was convicted of lying to police and served a three-year prison sentence. Now, Anthony will reportedly explain all in a new three-part docuseries airing on Peacock at the end of the month.
Showrunner and Director Alexandra Dean says in a release that the programs will explore Anthony's "personal archives" and "behind the scenes" footage.
Dean writes, “Since her acquittal in 2011, public opinion of Casey Anthony has been largely shaped by the media convinced of her guilt.”
Anthony has never given an in-depth or on-camera interview explaining her actions. According to Dean, Anthony had no creative control over the series, which was filmed over the course of six months.
