Dr Xanthe Weston, a criminal psychologist, has long been driven by this very question. Drawing on years of research into cases like these, she joins us today to explore what she’s discovered - why women’s motives for killing often differ from men’s, and whether some perpetrators are inherently predisposed to violence, or shaped by circumstance.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the details of this bizarre but fascinating case. Let's dive into the childhoods and backgrounds of both David and Catherine to see what may have led them down the path of murder. What kind of strange bond did these two develop that would cause Catherine, in particular, to say that she would do anything for David.

That was until November 10 1986, when a man standing outside a vacuum cleaner store was suddenly approached by a hysterical, barefoot young woman.
