On the 14th year of Brittney Wood’s disappearance, we are revisiting Brittney’s case, taking a closer look at the records available, starting with what was publicly known in the earliest days after she disappeared. From there, we’ll follow how that information evolved, compare it against documented records, and examine where details shift, conflict, or no longer align.
In this episode, we discuss the path to River Road in Fairhope, AL. The road that began before the 911 call on June 1, 2012, before anyone knew Brittney Wood was missing. With Brittney’s phone going silent near Grand Bay on May 31. With Donnie’s phone moving away from Styx River. With calls to Brittney that continued after her phone stopped giving location. With an interview that never happened.

Special recognition to CJ Wilkinson, whom we remember always, but especially the week of this release. CJ went missing on July 29, 2020 - found deceased on October 8th, 2020. His suspicious death is widely believed to be a homicide and remains unsolved to this day. He was an aspiring musician whose song “Unforgotten – CJ’s Song” is featured as the intro music to each episode this season. A candlelight vigil is being held Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
