About This Case: In January 2004, in the quiet Boston suburb of Woburn, Massachusetts, 34-year-old Joanne Presti and her 12-year-old daughter Alyssa were found dead inside their home on Totman Drive. Joanne was a devoted single mother, protective, family-centered, the kind of woman whose whole world was her kids. Alyssa was a straight-A student and a cheerleader, twelve years old and still happiest helping her mom around the house.
They were killed just days into the new year, and the neighborhood couldn't understand why. Who would target this family? Investigators worked through a long list of people who had moved through Joanne's life: exes, a former husband, neighbors, anyone who'd ever been close enough to get through the door.
