Federal Probe: MIT Professor and Caltech Scientist Both Shot Dead | True Crime News

A federal investigation is underway into the deaths and disappearances of at least 11 Americans tied to nuclear and aerospace research. Today, we close the series with two cases that have named suspects and personal motives, yet both men remain on the federal list. In Massachusetts, MIT plasma physicist Nuno Loureiro was shot at his door while his family was home; his killer was the same gunman who had opened fire on Brown University's campus two days earlier, killing two students. And in the California desert, Caltech astrophysicist Carl Grillmair was found shot on his front porch by a neighbor who had allegedly trespassed on his property weeks earlier.
